What Pocketa is
Pocketa is an app for tracking expenses and income, reading receipts, planning budgets and goals and exporting your data. You can use the free plan without time limit. Pocketa Plus unlocks more features for a fee.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app on devices you own or control. The app, its design and its code remain ours.
Not financial, tax or legal advice
Pocketa organizes your own numbers and calculates estimates such as "safe to spend", forecasts and affordability checks. These are helpful guides, not financial, tax or legal advice. Receipt reading and categories can be wrong, so please check important figures. Exports for your accountant or tax office are a starting point; your accountant should review them before you file anything.
Your data
Your data is stored on your phone, not with us, so we cannot restore it if your phone is lost or the app is deleted. Keep your own backups with the export function. How we handle the little data we do receive is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Pocketa Plus subscriptions
- Subscriptions bought in the App Store or on Google Play are billed by Apple or Google to your store account.
- They renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can cancel anytime in your store account settings, and Plus stays active until the paid period runs out.
- If a free trial is offered, it turns into a paid subscription when it ends unless you cancel before.
- Refunds for store purchases follow the rules of Apple or Google. Contact them through your store account.
- For purchases in the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies as well.
License codes
The Android version from this website can be unlocked with a license code that you buy from us directly. A code is valid for the period and the number of devices you bought. It is personal: please do not share or publish it. We may deactivate codes that are shared publicly, resold or obtained through fraud. If you paid for a code that does not work, contact us and we will fix it or refund you.
Fair use
Please don't reverse engineer, resell or misuse the app or our servers, don't try to get around Plus or license checks and don't use Pocketa for anything illegal.
Liability
We build Pocketa with care, but we cannot promise it will always be free of errors or available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage or lost data, and our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health. Your mandatory rights as a consumer under the law of your country stay unaffected.
Changes
We may update these terms when the app changes. We will update this page and the date at the top, and mention important changes in the app's release notes. If you keep using Pocketa after a change, the new terms apply.
